Jeremy Burd
Jeremy, the owner and head instructor at PSF Ocala – The Burdhouse, began his jiu-jitsu journey in 2016 under Eli Knight in Paducah, Kentucky. His passion for the sport led him to train with Clay Mayfield and the Wiltse Brothers. In 2019, a move to Ocala, Florida, presented challenges, but Jeremy’s determination prevailed. By 2021, he founded the Burdhouse Combat Club in his garage, which rapidly grew in popularity. Recognizing the need for a larger space, Jeremy opened PSF Ocala – The Burdhouse in March 2023. Erik Sommer
Erik Sommer began training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 2008 in Connecticut under Roger Denton and Fabio Araujo. After Several years training with Roger, Erik began to compete in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai Kickboxing, and Mixed Martial Arts. After Several MMA bouts, Erik decided to focus on Jiu-Jitsu. In 2015 Erik spent 6 months In Rio De Janeiro Brazil to train with GFT Team. In 2016 Erik moved to Smithtown NY where he received his Black Belt from Derek Mangi at Monster BJJ MMA. In 2021 Erik moved to Ocala FL and met Jeremy Burd, and the rest is history!
